Privacy Policy.

This site, bashir.life, is run by Mohamed Bashir. I keep data collection to a minimum, I don't sell your information, and I only use trusted services to run things. This page explains the details.

What I collect

Information you give me. When you sign up for the newsletter or request a free guide, I collect your name and email address. That's it — no payment details, nothing more.

Information collected automatically. To understand which content is worth making more of, the site uses two kinds of analytics:

• Google Analytics 4 — only if you accept cookies. It records how the site is used (pages viewed, device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address) using cookies. Until you accept, it's blocked from storing anything (see “Cookies & consent” below).
• A lightweight first-party pixel (served from masirah.co, which I also run). It records the page you're on, the page you came from, and a random visitor ID stored in your browser. Your IP address is hashed on the server for coarse country/region only — it is never stored in raw form.

Spam protection. The sign-up forms use Google reCAPTCHA to keep out bots, which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Fonts. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering them.

Cookies & consent

Analytics cookies are only set after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. The Google tag is present on every page, but — using Google Consent Mode — it keeps analytics storage switched off until you consent.

Your choice is stored locally in your own browser, not in a tracking cookie. You can change it at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

How I use it

• To see which writing and guides resonate, and improve what I make.
• To send you the guide you asked for, and the newsletter you signed up for.
• To keep the site secure and free of spam.

Who handles it

I don't sell your data or share it for advertising. It's processed by service providers acting on my behalf:

• Brevo — email sign-ups and delivery.
• Google — Analytics, reCAPTCHA, and Fonts.
• Masirah — my own first-party site analytics.
• Hostinger — website hosting.

Your choices & rights

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time — there's a link in every one.
• Withdraw analytics consent whenever you like via “Cookie settings.”
• Access, correct, or delete the data I hold about you — just email me (below) and I'll take care of it.

How long I keep it

Your email stays on my list until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove it. Analytics data is retained according to Google's GA4 settings. The first-party pixel keeps only the minimal, non-identifying records described above.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If I update this policy, the “last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be reflected here.
